Doug Kane has been named police chief of the Niagara Parks Police.
A member of the Niagara Regional Police for the past 31 years, Kane will assume the role of chief at the Niagara Parks Police on Tuesday.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Kane is a former seasonal police constable with the parks police.

We'll miss Chief Tim Berndt. He was good for that department. I would like to wish him a happy retirement.
